In a nutshell
Museum as retail, art as commerce, experience as entertainment, destination as leisure... 5 floors of genre-busting cool.
In their words
"Fotografiska is a destination to discover world-class photography, eclectic programming, elevated dining and surprising new perspectives.
Have fun. Stay late. Get deep. Spill your drink."

- Fit out. Leisure. Retail. With art attached.
- Over 5 floors you're struck as much by the fit-out as the art. Polished concrete floors, exposed beams, minimal then maximal. Design cues of retail. Then there are bars in most spaces, hinting that the 'gallery' is a social, meeting, event space. Finally you 'enter through the gift shop'. While not quite MOMA, there's an emphasis upon merch and coffee.
- The "gallerification" of leisure/art/social/consumption takes a global step forward.
