In a nutshell
Upscale doll store for specialty dolls, with hair salon, cafe and events. A cross between a pet store and a lego store, but for dolls. Owned by Matel. Dolls are highly characterised, with their own blogs about "why they matter".
In their words
"Bringing out the joy of girlhood is at the heart of everything we do. Through adventurous stories and imaginative play, we give girls the chance to discover who they are—and who they’re meant to be.
No matter if she’s a toddler or entering her teen years, every girl can find inspiration to be her best, to grow a strong mind and spirit, to laugh while she learns to be resilient, confident, and kind. Most of all, we hope to open girls’ eyes to a bigger world so they can create a brighter future for us all."
Visit Field notes
You either know the brand or you'll be shocked. There's no equivalent outside of the US - this is a sort of Barbie-world but for their own distinctive dolls. Filled with present-buying parents and engaged doll-owners, this is a must-visit store for the experience. Best to visit before or after PetCo's flagship since the vibe is similar. Note that the brand is owned by Matel.
In-store activities include parties, Salon and even hotel partnerships for customers.
